Vandy Jumps to 13 in the AP, 19 in the Coaches, Jenkins is SEC Freshman of the Week

ESPN has the rankings here.

Jenkins got freshman of the week honors, according to Jeff Lockridge.

This has been repeated ad nauseum, but the Coaches Poll becomes more comical by the week. Even though Tennessee pulled off a big upset over UK, there is no excuse for having them jump to 13 in the Coaches while keeping us at 19. This is getting ridiculous.

wow, all the way up to 13th in the AP poll. so what do you think? 22nd in the coaches poll then? i mean, UT beat UK and they were already ahead of us there so surely we'll fall in that poll.

would that be the largest difference in the 2 polls ever? i wonder what that is actually..

I don't know what the all-time biggest difference is, but the Dores are easily the biggest difference in the two polls this week (6 spots) – next closest is 4 spots.

Writers see us as almost a 3 seed; coaches see us as a 5 seed, closer to a 6 than a 4.

What a joke.

This sentence was in the USA Today Team Page for VU:

"The Commodores took care of business in the first of back-to-back road games with a surprisingly easy 89-72 romp over Arkansas."

Surprisingly easy? Okay, I was a bit surprised but give this team a bit of credit because they're very good!
