Aaaaaaaand Denver's Going to Try to Trade Cutler

It's been awfully quiet for the past few weeks, but today was just a break out of news.

Denver's had enough of trying to placate Jay Cutler, and they're going to try and trade him. After a few attempts at schmoozing him to come back, they're finally going to try to move on.

Josh McDaniels and his new regime really boogered this one up by letting it slip that they tried to bring in Cassel. I can't say I think Cutler has been professional every step of the way here, but the way to go was not to burn the bridge with the incumbent quarterback. Now they're worse off than they were before, because they have to fill a hole at QB that was previously ok, and they won't get nearly enough value for Jay. It's a no win trade.

It rarely happens in the NFL where a player wins a showdown with management, but it seems like Jay and Bus have done it.

I could care less about the Broncos and what will happen to them after this, but Jay has been a huge baby during this whole thing and it has only given credence to the frequent criticism that he is a whiner and quite immature. I cheer for Jay and want him to do well, but he's getting tough to defend when he has great numbers with nothing to show for it except some good diabetes press and a lot of bad attitude press.
