#ChipInForMarcPanu

The web is a buzz with the video of James Franklin offering FB Marc Panu, a senior majoring in Chemical Engineering who had walked on the previous 3 seasons, a full scholarship.

The Washington Post (via the Associated Press), SI.com's Hot Clicks, and the blog The Legend of Cecilo Guante are just the first 3 I've stumbled on that have the story, although I'm sure there are others. VUCommodores.com's Brandon Barca has an absolutely fantastic piece on Panu that should not be missed.

As I wrote in a previous post, scenes like this make me proud to be a Commodore. It also makes me proud to support the National Commodore Club, which pays for Marc and every other Vanderbilt athlete's scholarship. I would encourage everyone watching this video and reading this site to give a few dollars towards Marc's scholarship. I'm pitching in $20 ($5 for every year Marc's been on the team), and I hope you will consider doing the same.  If you do, tell the NCC you'd like your contribution to go towards Marc Panu's scholarship. It will be some of the best money you ever spent. .

This was 12 days ago. Is that why nobody posts here anymore? Not even the American Idol hater?
