VSL Gets You Ready: Previewing Vanderbilt at Davidson

This one will have to be brief today because work is pretty busy, but Vanderbilt travels to Davidson tonight looking to end it's two game losing streak.

Here's what I know about Davidson, they are a well-coached unit with 4 starters averaging double-figures. I don't know much else, but they are leading their opponents in average rebounding margin and average turnover margin. So there's that. Basically this is a team that can play.

Vandy really needs this one. After two very difficult games last week with very difficult results, the team needs to garner some confidence before it heads into a ten day break for final exams. Additionally, Davidson will be no slouch.

The good news? According to Jeff Lockridge, there's a possibility that Fez gets some minutes tonight. If so, we should all be very excited.

I hope Vanderbilt doesn't need Festus tonight and he can have the 10 days of exams to ease back into things. Either way, this is a game we need to have.

Vanderbilt is anywhere between a 1 and 2 point favorite according to the sports book, so Vegas doesn't think this game will be a cake-walk.

Yes hope we don't need fes tonight / it really comes down to not choking - hate to call it that but a duck is a duck.

I don't understand why we don't want Fez to play. I don't think some minimal play would end up in him getting hurt again. And I'd much prefer him to get some experience in game now rather than a week and a half down the road against awful teams at home. On the road against a good team would be great for him right now.
