Vandy Projected to Win TicketCity Legends Classic

The bracket was just released and Andy Katz has the breakdown over at ESPN.com.  This non-con tourney will be a two-round affair held at the Meadowlands (ah, there it is again, the site of great pain and anguish shared by myself, Douglas James, and Bobby O'Shea at the hands of a traveling Jeff Green and an atrocious no-call on a fateful night in March in days of yore) on November 19 and 21.  Vandy tips off against NC State on November 19 and the winner will face the winner of Texas-Oregon State two days later.  Sadly, you'll only be able to watch if you stream it on ESPN3.

All four of ESPN's prognosticators are picking Vandy to win this tournament.  Here's Katz's take:
Potential matchup I can’t wait to see: The bracket is built for Vandy-Texas and anything less will be a disappointment for the organizers. That game would be a delight for NBA scouts. Vanderbilt has a loaded nonconference schedule and picking up two key wins in this tournament would certainly be a significant push for the Commodores. They have the balance to beat Texas and will certainly have the experience. But the question for the Dores is how they handle being the favorite. Vandy has done well when not as much was expected. Now the target is on its back.

This is why I love this site. I live in the Northeast and was at the infamous Jeff Green traveling games as it's known in my parts. Will have to reach out to my "source" to get tickets for late November. A UT (Texas that is) and VU would be epic.
