This is a dangerous game because we dont know which TN will show up. Will it be the team that knocked off Villinova and Pitt? Or the team that dropped games to Oakland and USC? This team is in desperate need of a win and Bruce Pearl is the BEST motivator in college basketball. This game will not be a blow out...

VU: 75
UT: 73

The real question is which VU team shows.
VU 81
Cheating Pearl 65

I think Vandy will come out strong, shooting well, and getting the offensive boards. We won't handle the defensive pressure early, but we'll adjust. Fuller has a good game off the bench.

Vandy - 82
UT-69

Oh Vanderbilt Sports Line, I knew this Vanderbilt team was bad after our meltdown at South Carolina and UT earlier this year, but I let your optimism and Vandy's little winning streak convince me that I was wrong.

I think this is the most embarrassing lost I have seen as a Vandy fan. UT didn't play better than Vandy, UT just intimidated Vandy and Vandy folded.

Please don't get my hopes up again with a convincing post about how Vandy is still good. I don't want to be crushed again. Can't we just be realistic and start debating if Vandy's first round NCAA loss will be a blowout, or a respectable loss.

Take your hopeless, pessimistic anonymity elsewhere. UT did play better than Vandy tonight, notably for the entire 2nd half. Scotty Hopson deserves credit for overcoming 35 minutes of suffocating, frustrating defense and doing what he does best - slipping into the lane and drawing contact.

It was ugly and a huge letdown, but this team has proven several times this year they have the resilience to bounce back.
