1st Commit for CRC (3rd Overall for 2011)

Conor Hart, DE prospect, out of Bloomfield Hill, Michigan has given his verbal commitment to the Coach Robbie Caldwell and the Commies according to both Vandysports.com and ESPN.com. Hart stands at 6'3, 245 according to ESPN. Hart is currently unranked by Rivals and ESPN ranks him as a 74 (145th DE overall).

The most notable part of Hart's commitment is his football bloodlines. Hart's grandfather won the Heisman at Notre Dame in 1949 and was an All-Pro for the Lions, his Dad won a National Championship at Notre Dame w/ Joe Montana and his brother played for the Fighting Irish from 2000-03. I'm not a rocket scientist but if this kid has a good year and Notre Dame offers (which they haven't yet) I'm guessing we lose this kid. Just a hunch.

Useless anecdote about Hart's grandfather, Leon: He was beyond fired up to get into the Irish season opener as a freshman. The coach sent him in as a sub, and he charged toward the huddle with his head down.

On the way there, he plowed over ND's starting HB (who was coming out for a breather), and knocked the back out cold for 5 minutes.
