Tinsley Status Update

Jeff Lockridge has this in his article in today's Tennessean:
Tinsley injury: Vanderbilt guard Brad Tinsley (sprained knee ligament) did some running and agility drills on the side during practice Wednesday at Memorial Gym. While he is on pace to return for Friday's quarterfinal, his status remains questionable.

I also whole heartedly agree about who Commodore fans should be rooting for in today's Georgia/Arkansas match-up. UGA scares me, Arkansas does not.

Finally, borrowing a line from SI's Peter King: "[1] Thing That Might Only Interest Me" is the fact that Vegas likes 3 of the 4 SEC East teams in their first round match-ups. The hold-out: South Carolina, a pretty dangerous team in their own right against a pretty bad Alabama team. In fairness, Bama beat USC on Senior Night in Columbia. Still, it wouldn't surprise me to see the East run the table in the first round.

Unless he is really going to be back to normal in the next day or two, I think it makes sense to hold Tinsley out until the SEC Championship game. Why? Because I'd rather have a 5-seed and three guards at 100% in the Dance than a 3 or 4 seed with no guard depth when we really need it.
