Starting to Get Some Respect?

Perhaps. Andy Katz has Vanderbilt tied for 13th in his Power Poll this week on ESPN.com

Luke Winn's SI Power Poll also has the Commodores 13th.

Some respect from Jay Bilas also:

Vanderbilt. Mention Vanderbilt. Don't be afraid to say it: 10 wins in a row. 16-3, 5-0 in the SEC (3-0 on the road). Beat UT in K'ville. Lexington is about to find out...Vanderbilt...they're for real.

Okay. Vanderbilt. And, if you will recall, I was digging Vandy in Maui, but the Dores did not play well there. Now, Vandy is playing like I thought they would early. Kevin Stallings is a really good coach, and he has brought this team along really nicely. Vandy is Top 15 good.

Maybe...but if you look at the voter breakdown, several of the voters STILL have Tennessee ahead of Vandy. How??????? What's even better: Douglas points out that Jay Bilas said we're "top 15 good," but he ranked us 17 behind Tennessee.

During the Duke vs. Clemson game, Dicky V. also sang Vandy's praises. Something to the effect that Vandy was one of those "surprise" teams; and that CKS has done a great job building the program.

Vitale also mentioned Memorial as one of the best places to watch college basketball.

all the praise we're getting shall fall if we play horribly at UK. they'll say we can't hang with the top tier and we are really not that good of a team. we HAVE to show up in rupp. i really hope these guys understand what's in store for them. even last year's team doesn't understand the way rupp is going to be rocking tomorrow. they are thirsty for blood after that loss.

Slake our thirst, Commodores. I'm pretty sure the Dores are going to give Kentucky all they can handle. The question is which Kentucky shows up: Arkansas game Kentucky, or halfassed South Carolina, Auburn, and Georgia Kentucky. I'm leaning toward the former. Have fun!
