Good Showing at Minicamp for D.J. Moore

It appears that, despite his freefall in the draft and despite measuring in at only 5'8" at Bears' rookie minicamp this weekend and despite not knowing who Refrigerator Perry is, D.J. Moore is still exuding the confidence we've come to expect.

Brad Biggs at the Chicago Sun-Times reported that D.J. was breaking on the ball very well during drills, earning some props from Coach Lovie Smith.

David Haugh at the Chicago Tribune has an excellent article on D.J. that talks a bit about his rough upbringing in South Carolina and the parallels between being underestimated by a lot of college recruiters at big-name schools and being snubbed in the NFL Draft because of his size and average 40 time. Worth a gander.

Hopefully D.J. will prove the naysayers wrong by stepping into a big role early in his career. Given the needs the Bears have in the secondary, it looks like he has a great shot at making some noise for Vanderbilt North this season.
