On a Roll on Tuesday

Ladies and gents, we need more chatter. The women's lacrosse and both tennis teams are in the NCAA Tournament, a half-dozen Vanderbilt football players are headed to the NFL (including our second first-rounder in three years), Commie baseball has an opportunity to make a run at Georgia's top spot in the SEC East this weekend after sweeping UT, and CKS just signed up the best recruiting class in the history of the basketball program.

Is it this time of year that makes us sluggish? My own pathetic excuse is law school -- that and I just don't know what to say except some version of "I'm currently very excited about Vanderbilt sports."

Well, I've given this a lot of thought and I think I figured out what our problem is: a lack of visual stimuli. As much as I love Joe Fisher, sports aren't nearly as much fun when you have nothing to look at. So I did a little research and the results are truly magnificent. It turns out that Jeff Taylor, Lance Goulbourne, and Brad Tinsley all played against each other in a summer-league all-star game in Denver two summers ago. The level of talent displayed by all three of these Vandy recruits while on the court at the same time should have us all giddy about the prospects for what our future Vandy bball teams can do.
