VSL's NFL Draft Day Coverage...

Well, you're pretty much looking at it.

Chris Williams is going in the 1st Round, it's just a matter of where. If he's still on the board at 12, don't be surprised if the Denver Broncos don't snatch him up.

ESPN's draft coverage begins at 3, and you can track all today's action with their Draft Cast.

Here are some SI.com mock drafts (because they are free, unlike ESPN's Insider content)

Don Banks has Williams going 12 to Denver and my beloved Jets taking Matt Ryan at 6

Dr. Z has Chris falling to 18 and the Texans

Peter King's Monday Morning Quaterbacking also has Williams ending up in Houston (although he's also got Boyer and the District and I rooting for the same team with McFadden heading to the Jets).

The real question for Commodore fans is whether Jonathan Goff, His Name is Earl, or Brian Stamper get drafted. I think Theo Horrocks and Curtis Gatewood deserve some attention in the late rounds, but I am a complete homer.

Williams to the bears at 14, good pick for the bears, and williams. The only problem is that he will have to block for Grossman, the heterosexually challenged QB.

Boyer in the District said...

Even worse, Earl Bennett will now have Sexy Rexy throwing the ball in his general direction (Assuming EB makes the final roster).

Right, Denver, don't make the obviously smart move to draft Earl in the second round...

Don't draft a guy who will have an instant connection to your franchise QB.

Boyer is right: Grossman sucks. Bad for Williams and Earl until they get a QB worth a damn.

as much as i like earl, he is not second round talent, and i thought he was going to go much later than the 3rd round

Goff round 5 to the super bowl champs!! Great pick for him in that scheme if he can only make the team.

So 3 Commodores on the Bears' roster then? As a Bear fan, um, is this a good thing?
