Is It Just Me...

Or did NBC blow it by replacing Pink?

I, like most men, think Faith Hill is really hot. Still, I am completely pissed that NBC has decided to replace my girl Pink with Faith on their Football Night in America theme. Am I the only one?

Faith is singing the song the exact same way Pink did...if they liked the way it was being sung, why change the person singing it? Particularly when Pink's voice, attitude, demeanor, etc...is more conducive to getting ready for a football game. If NBC wants some eye-candy on the screen before the game, that's fine, have Faith Hill dance around, or go picture-in-picture with the hotties from Deal of No Deal. But whatever you do, don't take away the Pink one.

Pink's got an edge to her; she's got some soul, and I for one will miss her.

Faith Hill looks awkward and out of place here. I'm going with O'Shea.

I agree completely.

I disagree, sorry. I saw Faith live on thursday for the NFL kickoff in Indy and I promise her voice is better, her look is better and she is much more marketable and actually has some connection to NFL (her and her husband have season tix to the Titans and actually go to the games) Pink does have an edge but she also is not as ever-appealing to both male and female football fans. The NFL is pushing to increase its female fan base (see new clothes specifically for women and the some of the new ad spots)

They both suck. Neither can sing worth a crap.

If they want "eye candy" that can't sing (I'm all for that) why don't they go with former NFL cheerleader-turned actress/model Sarah Shahi.

The whole thing is a lame knock-off of the Hank Williams MNF song anyway. But it's especially lame that they pulled Pink from the song and just handed it to Faith, who looks nice, but is very boring and very hollow. On a side note, I saw her husband lip-sync his way through the weakest halftime show performance of all time at a Skins-Cowboys Monday night game a few years back. I doubt the NFL's going to be calling his number anytime soon.

I want an Ozzy Osbourne/Jeff Gordon duet to replace Faith.

How about Ozzy and Anita Bryant?

I agree with Taj. If the NFL wants more female fans, Faith is a better business decision. Football's already got enough "edge" for most women -- they, like Kerry Collins at the end of the third quarter, are looking for something to take the edge off.

I want to see a Mike Vick Pacman jones duet rap/rb mix tape for the kick off...It could be shot from prison to give it street cred and what not
