Vanderbilt Hotline: Luckily for you, these might be getting shorter...

Bobby's professional life takes a turn today, which means the Hotline might be shorter in the days and weeks to come. Although it might not...we'll have to see.

Anyway, Vanderbilt baseball gets a lot of ink today, with Bret and Mo penning articles about Tim Corbin's boys. Mo Patton highlights in today's Tennessean how the best pitchers in the state of Tennessee are also the best pitchers in the country. I know for a fact that Brian Cashman would pay good money for David Price right now (and by know for a fact, of course I mean, I think). Brett Hait shows Vanderbilt center fielder Dominic de la Osa the love for the SEC showing him the love as SEC Hitter fo the Week in today's Nashville City Paper.

The jack of all trades that he is, Mo Patton also pens an article about the women's golf team earning a #2 regional seed in the NCAA Tournament. Vanderbilt is one of 9 SEC teams in the 3 regional fields.

I watched Entourage last night and thought it was good, but not great. Maybe it's just me, but the plot line doesn't seem to be advancing. Vince isn't working, he has no prospects, and he is now schtupping his hot agent. Ari was jealous of his former loser college frat brother who makes it big, becomes engaged to a doctor, and sheds the adle-mindedness of his college days (there is hope for me yet). And Johnny Drama got "got" by Paulie Shore. I find the agent/client thing both predictable and extremely unrealistic. I find Ari's relationship with his wife interesting, but something they have devoted too much attention to thus far this season. Vince needs to work, or blow a job, or something, but what's going on right now just isn't doing it for me.

I know someone out there has to watch this...so tell me, am I wrong?

That's all I've got today. The draft thread got pretty intense, although quickly devolved into a conversation about Randy Moss. Hoser of the Week thread to be posted later.

Dude -- we've got Bon Jovi night on Idol tonight. Shortage of material? What are you smoking?

I totally missed that one...good catch Dr. MZ.

I wonder what Bon Jovi hits they will sing. Living on a Prayer? Always? Wanted Dead or Alive? Who Says Your Can't Go Home? It's My Life?

It's all deadly. Jersey in the house.

A Bon Jovi night?

Well...the next step for Idol is clearly a Black Sabbath night.

Nevermind, none of those nincompoop contestants could handle a live performance trying to live up to the greatest band EVER.

That live album Ozzy did with the replacement guitar guy after Rhodes died had a killer Symptoms of the Universe version.

Which album? Jake E. Lee was Randy Rhodes replacement...Lee was on the 3rd and 4th Ozzy solo albums (Bark and the Moon and The Ultimate Sin).

There's a fantastic concert-on-film VHS that I used to have called "The Ultimate Ozzy," but I didn't remember Symptom of the Universe being on there...

Are you thinking of Zakk Wylde by any chance??
