Vindication: SEC Coaches Get it Right

It doesn't happen often where the coaches are right and the AP is wrong, but the SEC is clearly the exception to that rule. The SEC coaches announced their Player and Coach of the Year, and Vandebilt doubled up. Derrick Byars, a unanimous selection to the All-SEC first team, was named SEC Player of the Year. Derrick was denied the same award by the AP, a crime chroniciled in The Case for Derrick Byars below. Vanderbilt Coach Kevin Stallings was named Coach of the Year and junior swingman Shan Foster was selected to the All-SEC second team.
