The Commodores return 16 starters from the 2006 squad that went 4-8. Several of the SEC's top returnees are back for the Commodores, including three all-conference players - middle linebacker Jonathan Goff, wide receiver Earl Bennett and offensive tackle Chris Williams. Other standouts returning are junior quarterback Chris Nickson, senior defensive tackle Theo Horrocks, senior defensive end Curtis Gatewood and junior safety Reshard Langford.

I think Chad is on to something with regards to the field.
On another note, did anyone notice that starting with the September 29th game against Eastern Michigan we play 9 straight weeks aganist 6 SEC opponents? Of those 9, 5 are at home, but the road games are at Auburn, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee. Playing in the SEC is never easy, but this will be a particularly difficult stretch given the lack of recovery time between games. With that said, if Vanderbilt can get themselves into a zone, playing 9 consecutive weeks could be a blessing in disguise.
