This event, celebrating the first official day of practice, will feature a meet-and-greet with both squads, special introductions, a short scrimmage along with a three-point and slam dunk contest. Fans and students will also have a chance to participate in special giveaways and contests throughout the event.
Admission to Memorial Madness is free and doors will open at 8 p.m. with team autograph sessions extending until 8:45 p.m. when the remainder of the festivities will begin.

Basketball Season is Approaching
Vanderbilt's Men's and Women's Basketball teams announced they will be kicking off the first official day of practice, October 14th, with festivities at Memorial Gym, cleverly called "Memorial Madness." Here is the full release from VUCommodores.com announcing the event. Here are the details:

Sounds like fun. Rumors, ever reliable, say that Alex Poythress is going to Kentucky, btw. Awesome to watch Vanderbilt compete with Kentucky for recruits, though. Keep it up, Stallings.
Not so fast my friend. Just because some supposed AAU big wig hears that Poythress ain't going to Memphis and then goes and tells Gary Parrish "well, he's going to UK" doesn't mean this race is over.
