Mercy Me: Commodores Down Georgia 10-0 in Opening Round of the SEC Tournament

It was all Vanderbilt tonight, as the Commodores dominated the Georiga Bulldogs 10-0 to beat the Dawgs in 7 innings. During tournament play, the mercy rule is in effect. Vanderbilt pitchers allowed just 1 hit in 7 complete innings. Vanderbilt will take on #1 South Carolina tomorrow in the final game of the day after the Gamecocks bested the Tigers of Auburn 7-3 earlier today. The winner of that game will advance to Saturday's semifinal with an unblemished tournament record and a great shot to get to the championship game.

Winning is good. Winning big is even better. Winning of american idol is like losing. Because american idol still blows rear.

with the score 3-0, I was uneasy because it looked like the previous weekend opener, same UGA pitcher, but gotta give VU credit for putting the dawgs away. thought Corbin might pull Casalli to give him rest for a hopefully long weekend, but the 10 run rule may have made that unnecessary. Hope for decent weather and live bats tonight with SG on the mound. Go Dores !
