Just realized something profoundly frustrating; in the past five seasons, every team in the East has won either the regular season championship, tournament championship or at least the division (South Carolina tied for first in 2008-09) except one. Guess who that is.
May I make a prediction? It's keeping with the ups and downs of the VU season. Bama shoots lights out to defeat UK in the semis. VU beats FL to reach the finals.
If we can smoke LSU by 20+ in their house (with deep bench coming in for the last few minutes), I don't see how we can lose on Thurs.
Additionally, I was pleased to see who we're potentially up against for the rest of the tournament. Could we lose 3 times each to Florida or Tenn in a single season? KY, Bama - we can beat any of these teams on a given night, so long as we bring our B+ game (which hasn't happened for more than 5-10 min stretches). If we bring our A game we're unstoppable. Problem is we keep bringing the C game. Let's turn the corner!
how can anybody think LSU is a definite win. Our team, for the second straight season is moving in wrong direction as the regular season ends. Unless we can at least win 3 games in 3 days to get our confidence back and show some darn defense, we are a 1 and done entry. Disappointing given how much offensive talent is on this team, but our guys are very inconsistent on defense and rebounding. We might have lost at Rupp but looked like a completely different team than the one that played for the last 30 minutes against florida.

It's Vanderbilt! We're dancing in NCAA which is great. Thank goodness they did not expand the tournament to 96.
It's not an easy road to the SEC Championship, but VU is on it starting Thursday late night.

let's start by proving that LSU is essentially a bye anyway.
Are they... with this team they should be but who knows...

Agree with Pedro. Law of averages is on our side if we get a third chance to knock off Florida or UT.
