I was gonna post and attach links to all of the negative comments/articles/predictions about Vanderbilt and the reverse comments for Richmond but then thought better of it. Lets be positive (although I consider myself an optimist in most of life's situations, when it comes to sports I am perpetually pessimistic but I'm trying to change....) Anyway if anyone comes across some positive chatter about the Commies or gasp! someone actually picks them to win, post it in the comments section.
Here's a start. Some guy named Jeff Borzello at CBSsports.com (CBS is pretty far down the list of websites I go to about sports....but not sure why as I usually enjoy the stuff there) ranked Vandy as the 15th best team. He also said Richmond is only the 38th best team.
Here is his comment on Vandy (also put in a picture of JJ which is nice):
15. Vanderbilt: The Commodores have all the pieces to make a run, but they struggle to put it all together. John Jenkins can shoot them to wins.

Borzello could be a hardcourt poet.
Dores have all pieces
But struggling together
Jenkins can shoot to win.
upon second read: "John can shoot to win."
how about negative press?

basically, 51% chance that richmond wins. until we give people a reason to think otherwise, i can't complain.
greg doyel with cbssports.com has vandy in the elite 8 in his bracket...

Hahaha, hey I'm all for positivity but this Greg Doyle fella, has a Final Four made up of Ohio State (justified), Temple (huh?), Notre Dame (beating us to get there) and Michigan State (WHAT????????). that is a joke of a bracket if I have ever seen one.
Five out of six CBS Sports experts picked Vandy to beat Richmond in first round:

picking upsets is all about picking teams with experience. Richmond has 4 seniors that contribute quality time. I'm not saying we will lose to Richmond, but this is a very tough draw. Tougher than both Sienna and Murray St, easily.
