Some Good Pub For 2 Incoming Frosh

Rivals Recruiting Analyst Jerry Meyer and Eric Bossi do a "Top 10" list once a week. Incoming Black and Gold basketball players Dai-Jon Parker and Kedren Johnson have both been mentioned recently.

Dai-Jon was named the #1 perimeter defender in for the 2011 class:
1. Dai-Jon Parker
School: Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton
The Buzz: One of the most athletic players in the 2011 class, Parker has the makings of being a top defensive stopper at Vanderbilt.

Kedren Johnson was named the #5 passer in the class:
5. Kedren Johnson
School: Lewisburg (Tenn.) Marshall County
The Buzz: He's a big and strong kid who is equally effective dissecting zones, picking apart man defenses and involving others in transition. His strength allows him to make some passes that others can't.

In reality these rankings don't mean much but its nice to know where these guys strengths lay. Having someone who is a superior defender is great whether Jeff comes back next year or not. This will allow Jenkins/Brad/Fuller to guard the less talented guard/wing and maybe we can finally have someone put an end to random guys dropping ridiculous 3's on us for career nights (really Arkansas?). And obviously a point guard who is a potent "passer" is always a good thing.
