Vanderbilt Squanders 17 Point lead at Tennessee

Commodores go down 67-64. A more disappointing loss, I cannot remember

tony jones didnt really do any coaching. more of cheerleading. vandy is solidifying its MO as a team that cannot close.

Have not closed since Byars was there. Can you say soft?

Several issues -

1) any time the game is close, it is always a dice roll. The fact we cant even get off a good shot (same as in the MO game) and same for the last few years - is a big choke. Murray State/ UK last year, etc.

2) Most of these games should not even be close - we have more talent and show signs of strength and should beat these teams by double digits. A lot of the issue is lack of defense intensity. Second half VU team just watched.

No toughness; no passion; and when the game comes down to the wire we do not have a go to guy.

Looking like an NIT season now.

Games should not come down to the wire. A bunch of wusses.

2 comments were deleted due to foul language. While I'm sure the vast majority of people reading this blog are adults, we try to keep VSL "family friendly." Also, let's try and keep the hosility to a minimum. We are all upset, but these are college students and we shouldn't forget that when voicing our frustration at individual players.

Sentiments like the directly abovce are why we have no passion.

Disaster of a second half.

1-4 in close games - wow.

How do the games get so close? 'going through the motions'
