Football Scoop Report: CJF Offers WVU Defensive Cooridnator Jeff Casteel Same Job at Vanderbilt

Here's the report:
Our sources tell us that Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin has offered the defensive coordinator job to West Virginia defensive coordinator Jeff Casteel. At this point, according to our source, Franklin is unsure if Casteel will accept the position.


Just below, FootballScoop.com is reporting that former Vanderbilt wide receivers coach Charlie Fisher has been offered the position of wide receivers coach / passing game coordinator at Miami (OH).

For the 2008 season, Casteel and the new defensive staff helped the young Mountaineers defense to a #1 redzone defense national ranking, a #11 scoring defense national ranking, a #11 4th down defensive national ranking, and a #16 passing efficiency defense national ranking.
