Vanderbilt's Coaching Search and Teenage Dating Have a Lot in Common

Jeff Lockridge reports in today's Tennessean that Vanderbilt is "talking" to Maryland Offensive Coordinator James Franklin about becoming the Commodores next Head Football Coach. Am I the only one who thinks the verbiage sounds an awful lot like the way teenagers describe their relationships with members of the opposite sex? Allow me to demonstrate:

Erica: Are you and David dating?

Jasmine: No, we're just "talking."

Erica: How often do you guys "talk?"

Jasmine: All the time.

Erica: People say you told him you all were dating, but that nothing's "official" yet because of Ralph.

Jasmine: Whatever.

Erica: You, whatever.

Here's the latest from Erica.

Are we sure we are even going to get Franklin? This one has dragged on longer than Malzahn and e all know how that one ended...

Bobby: How much longer until we can accuse Franklin of holding us hostage?
