Thoughts on CJF's First Press Conference as Vanderbilt's Head Football Coach

Color me impressed. EXTREMELY IMPRESSED.

Interesting tidbits I gathered:

- He said he's got some guys he's comfortable with as far as staffing goes. He said he would sit down and talk with current staff, but was very non-committal.
- He said he wants to recruit nationally
- He said he'd be "CEO" of program and that he would have both an offensive and defensive coordinator

Easy to see why he's a great recruiter.

He also emphasized that all his assistants would need to be strong recruiters, and he talked about being excited to go into families' homes and sell them on why Vanderbilt is the right place. Among other things, he noted that it offers something no other school in the country can: an opportunity for an education of the highest caliber while playing in the nation's best and most-watched conference.

He also said he's not willing to settle. Not sure what that will mean, but I like it.

And he said he's not a six win or a seven win guy.
