This according to Jeff Lockridge's blog on the Tennessean website. It is only today that Navy's Ken Niumatalolo was even mentioned in connection with the opening, and given the Midshipmen's match-up with Army this weekend, the earliest the Commodores would be able to talk to him would be Saturday.
The frantic pace at which stories are not leaking out would seem to indicate a decision should be forthcoming very soon. While it is amazing that this search process had been conducted as clandestinely as it was, I am sure Vanderbilt officials are not pleased their coaching search has sprung a leak (or two, or three).
