Footballscoop.com (which I had never heard of let alone read until the past week) is reporting that Phil Fulmer is "in the mix" and spoke "at length" with Vandy administrators yesterday.
Well it wouldn't surprise me that they talked to him but I would be shocked....SHOCKED if he ended up anyway near becoming the next coach of the Vanderbilt Commodores. Too me it would smack of desperation and a betrayal of the principles and values that VU has stood for.
I just don't see it happening or want it to happen frankly.

Can we please keep Fat-Phil in Knoxville where he belongs. I mean isn't there a road named after him there? Conflict of interest much? I personally do not want UT's sloppy seconds.

Same site is saying Fulmer is no longer a candidate but that we have set up 6-8 interviews allegedly
