We Live to Fight Another Day: Vanderbilt wins 6-2 to Force a Decisive Game 3 Tomorrow

Sonny Gray showed why he is the Commodores ace. Sonny threw 6 complete innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 7 hits, 3 SO and 3 BB, to earn the win for Vanderbilt. Sonny got "joyced" in the 6th and should have gotten out of the inning unscathed. However, Loftus' fantastic throw from right kept the Commodores ahead 3-2.

The Commodores added 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to extend the lead, and Anthony Gomez (who started the 8th inning with a double, scoring the 1st of the 3 insurance runs) made a phemonial play to stay with a chopper that got by Westlake and throw it over to the covering Grayson to end the game.

Curt Casali's hot hitting continues as he was 2-4 with 2 RBIs including a monster double that bounced off the top of the bizarre mesh fence in right driving home Gomez.

Commodores are now 4-0 in elimination games...can they make it 5?
