The Commodores offense was completely anemic through 8 innings against the Illinois State Redbirds. However, leading 5-4 in the 9th, Tim Corbin's team's bats came alive scoring 5 runs to add much needed insurance. The Commodores left the bases loaded twice, and a total of 15 base runners on through 8. That Vanderbilt wasn't able to put the Redbirds away made me think this game was going to get away from them. Alas, they survived and will get another shot at #1 Louisville with a shot to force a decisive game 7 of the regional tomorrow night night. We'll be covering it and hope you'll join us.
