Former Vanderbilt great Shan Foster attended Vanderbilt's practice Tuesday as the request of freshman sharpshooter John Jenkins. Jenkins asked Shan to help him work on running off screens and generally getting open. This story, by the Tennessean's Jeff Lockridge, is great for several reasons. First, it shows there is a real bond that develops that Commodore players and their teams, even after they've graduated. Second, it goes to show just how much Jenkins wants to improve. Maybe Foster will be responsible (at least partly) for even more great Vanderbilt moments going forward. In the meantime, his performance against Mississippi State is still the greatest thing I've ever heard listening to a Vanderbilt game.
