Afternoon Quick Hits

Our friends at Open Dores have a great recap of what's transpired thus far during the Men's Basketball season that is definitely worth a read.

Also, Jeff Lockridge has a piece in today's Tennessean about the "log-jam" at center for the Commodores. According to the story, the rotation is about to be winnowed down to 2 (A.J. and Festus), with Steve T. primarily playing the 4. However, as Lockridge's Vanderbilt Insider Blog reports, Steve T. is presently battling strep.

Finally, and unsurprisingly, Mike Leach has been fired by Texas Tech.

HIRE THAT MAN

That didn't take long at all. Mike Leach for Ted Cain sounds like a trade Commodore fans would happily make

yeah i cant believe people think leach cant get hired by another school. what he allegedly did was not bad at all. james is just whiny beotch with a sense of entitlement because his daddy is a failed football player now analyst. i think i read somewhere they prayed on it. thats the biggest piece of bs. i hope the james family realizes they are dbags.

Who wants to be a commodore? They are so .. in tennessee.Stalling is confused and he will make you want to walk away.

That mind buster thing that Stalling did with Beal (which was only a power trip)when he sat him down after 70 starts was very destructive I believe and it only proved what I've known all along. Why would Stallings do something like that to a kid who has been so much to his teams? he didn't deserve that. Shame on him!
