SEC Power Poll - Week 1

The guys over at Team Speed Kills have posted the first installment of this season's weekly SEC Power Poll, comprised of votes from bloggers around the conference. Here's how the numbers shook out this time around:

1. FLORIDA (23), 293
2. ALABAMA (2), 277
3. OLE MISS, 231.5
4. LSU, 224.5
5. GEORGIA, 167
6. TENNESSEE, 152.5
7. SOUTH CAROLINA, 140.5
8. ARKANSAS, 129.5
9. AUBURN, 118.5
10. KENTUCKY, 102
11. VANDERBILT, 74
12. MISSISSIPPI STATE, 40

Yes, I know, the Vanderbilt bias is so thick I am choking on it as we speak. The VSL ballot looked like this:*

1. UF
2. Bama
3. Ole Miss
4. LSU
5. VU
6. UGA
7. UT
8. USC
9. Auburn
10. UK
11. Ark
12. Miss State

*Editor's Note: I conscientiously objected to a poll of SEC teams at this point in the season because there is simply no way to disaggregate the middle of the pack. Bobby and Stanimal were kind enough to humor them, which is a good thing because otherwise I'm afraid our vote count would've been even more ridiculous.
