If you did not watch the Kentucky-Tennessee game...

You missed the most dominating performance I have ever seen by a college basketball player, period.

This blog is geared towards Vanderbilt sports, so normally we wouldn't comment positively about anything related to Kentucky or Tennessee. I guess in a way I'm not commenting positively about either Kentucky or Tennessee, but Kentucky gets some positive press here because Jodie Meeks was an absolute animal tonight.

Meeks broke the single game scoring record for Kentucky tonight, laying 54 points on Tennessee (at Tennessee I might add). He hit 15-22 from the field, was 10 of 15 from beyond the arc, and was a perfect 14-14 from the line. He was unconscious the entire game. If it's any consolation to Vanderbilt in their loss this past weekend, at the very least Meeks only scored 21 on us on 5-16 shooting.

My earlier post arguably is for not. Substitute Tennessee for Vanderbilt and I believe things are more accurate.

in a way it makes me feel good that meeks only put up 21 on us AT rupp WITHOUT ogilvy. every game is unique and anything can happen but at least this shows we're not just an awful team and hung with what i think is the team that is probably going to run away with the SEC at 14-2 or 13-3.
