VSL Hotline: The Day Before, Edition

It's getting close to game time and the excitment surrounding this game is palpable throughout Commodore Nation. GameDay's broadcasts from the Commons start today at 3:30, and tomorrow starting with SportsCenter segments at 8am. Gates open at 7am and GameDay starts at 9am. Bobby O'Shea will be there with the sign to be determined. Trust us, you'll know it when you see it.

Seamus and I were talking earlier this week about what Vanderbilt needs to do to win. One of the things that will be key, given Auburn's impressive defense (particularly against the run), it will vitally important for Vanderbilt to establish the air assault. With that in mind, The Man We Love to Hait's got a story in today's Nashville City Paper on "Vandy Searching for the Rare Air Against Auburn."

Mo Patton picks up on the need for an aerial assault with a piece on the return of George Smith in today's Tennessean.

ESPN.com's got a preview for Saturday's game that's definitely worth a read. And, recent Commie convert Chris Low's got two things about Vanderbilt in his "What to Watch in the SEC" column.

Our friend Diezba at Stars & Stripes has a piece of information worth the attention of all Vanderbilt fans (but particularly students) should read: the total number in the student section will be capped at 5,000. Needless to say, this is not a game where showing up mid way through the first half is going to cut it.

The line's 4.5 with an over/under 37.5. We'll have our "Who Ya Got" Post up later today. Until then, Bobby OUT.
