CBJ Interviews at Duke...and I take the Bait

Here is a link to Si.Com's FanNation on CBJ's interview with Duke where I take exception to a commenter's characterization of the Commies.

Any thoughts on the news?

Who Ya With's got a take that's definitely worth a read.

unless duke is going to pay him more than $750,000 he is going no where.

That would mean that would have to more than double the $370,000 that paid to Teddy Root last year.

My guess would be he's most likely meeting with them to improve his position with the Vanderbilt administration. Never hurts to let the people you work for know that you're in demand elsewhere.

IF he leaves, then he is saying de facto that 5-7 is the best he can do with Vandy in the SEC East.

Re: Who ya with's take, I would like to see Will Muschamp in Nashville.

This smells like a 100% leverage move for Johnson... this is the first off season since Gee left, and maybe Bobby wants to strong arm VU into going through with the facilities upgrades we need.

He also could be angling for a raise...

he is currently over paid.. they are not going to give him a raise

I doubt he gets a raise this yearn, but this could help him next year if the program can take the next step up...

he's got nothing to gain from the move to Duke. I agree with previous comments...it's all leverage.
