Hoser of the Week

I know no one voted, but this one is obvious: Ricky Williams. On the heels of seeking reinstatement to the NFL after a year's suspension of the league's substance abuse policy, Ricky tested positive for Marijuana according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Is this guy serious? I don't know...what I do know, is he is a total hoser.

If you've got someone else more deserving, weigh in in the comments section. You should also feel free to tell me what an awesome pick this was on my part.

The NBA for...

1. Awarding Dirk Nowitzki the MVP award.

2. For not waiting until the post season is over to make this decision.

Nothing like an MVP whose can't finish a 67 win season.

1) Curt Schilling for claiming that Bond's admitted to roids, cheating on his taxes and his wife. Bond's never admitted any of that. Also, wasn't it Schilling who a couple weeks ago attacked the media about getting their facts right, regarding the bloody sock. Also, because he made me stick up for Bonds.

2) Tom Brady for wearing a Yankees hat. Sorry buddy, as long as you're the New England Patriot's QB...anything NY sucks.

Hear, hear, masonfan from a proud Pats season ticket holder (still)!

I figured Schilling would get some nominations. It's not that his error in fact was that bad, but rather, as someone on ESPN (Dan Patrick maybe?) pointed out, he's a stickler when anyone else makes a similar error about him. At least he apologized though which shows a lot of character. Now about his politics....

Oh yeah, and I can't work this in the HotW format, but four VU teams are in NCAA action this weekend. See my blog for more.

Good call Bobby on calling out Ricky. I loved the part of the article that quoted the source as saying "Remember, he's been diagnosed with social anxiety disorder -- that's a real disease and a good percentage of those folks self-medicate with substances like marijuana, often at the moment they are about to have a high level of social interaction."

It reminds me of college when stanimal and I would take shots before communications presentations. But we didnt owe $6.5 million or have to pass any sort of substance tests.

I say send Ricky off to the Montego Bay Rastas in the JFL.
