Vanderbilt Hotline: Sunday Reading...

Vanderbilt has a huge game this afternoon against the Wildcats of Kentucky at Memorial. The game tips off at 2:00 EST and will be available on Lincoln Financial Sports, ESPN Full Court, and Chez O'Shea. As well, check Friday's Hotline for Alumni Association Viewing Parties across the country.

This is a big game for both teams, and the coverage in both Kentucky and Nashville reflects that. Vanderbilt thinks it will need to play a physical game against Tubby's Cats to win. There is no doubt that in Vanderbilt's recent losses they have been banged around. Conversely, Vanderbilt's wins (particularly against Florida) saw the Commies get aggressive and out-muscle their opponents. For the Vanderbilt Game Notes, click here.

The Lady Commies travel to Knoxville for a match-up against the Lady Vols. Vanderbilt is currently tied for 2nd in the SEC East with Georiga, and would love to snap an 0-6 losing streak in their last 6 games against UT. Worse, the Lady Dores have never won in Knoxville.

Vanderbilt Baseball eeked out a win yesterday against Pitt in the Music City Classic. Vanderbilt's 4-3 win was the closest game the 9-0 Commies have played all season. They conclude the Classic with BC today at Hawkins Field at noon.

Finally, please consider writing an email to ESPN letting them know you want more Vanderbilt games shown on TV.

CORRECTION: Vanderbilt beat Pitt 4-3 on Friday, they beat Ball State 15-3 yesterday. Thanks for the correction Fitz!
