Holiday Success

The women's basketball team has had an exceptional holiday season, winning the Vandy-hosted Holiday Classic with victories over Lipscomb (109-40, which in women's basketball is absurd), and Indiana State (89-75). Carla Thomas was named MVP of the tournament.

This evening, the Dores dominated Princeton 89-74 at home, with Dee Davis picking up 18 points and Carla Thomas and Liz Sherwood contributing 14 and 12 respectively. An interesting statistic is that the Commies have averaged 90.8 points since their loss to Duke. They are currently ranked 12th in the nation and will be playing La Salle on New Years Day at 2:00 p.m. at home.
