Time to Panic: Commodores Lose 61-55 to Indiana State

The Sycamores ended the game on a 16-2 run. Jeffery Taylor poured in 21, but Jenkins was well-contained, and Festus was never able to get going. Indiana State is a good team, but this is an unacceptable, if predictable loss coming off of the 10-day exam break. VSLNation, we have a problem.

Football season isn't over and baseball season is right around the corner. Thank God.

Stallings again outcoached tonight...its tiring to watch all season long how other coaches get the most of their players and ours can't even get a veteran group to play clean and smart basketball. Discipline is taught and for 1.5 yrs now we have watched this team play with none.

I guess it was the hangover from exams. NOT!!

As I said last week, no guard play, "stars" that go MIA, and no better than average coaching (on his best night) are a recipe for a season of what ifs? Just think what a Rick Byrd could do with this talent. No... I don't think so, his system relies on discipline, hustle, and selflessness; that does not describe Jenkins or Taylor.

Wonder if Corbin and Franklin could take over?

Shan Foster and Derrick Byars would not have let this happen. Ask Miss. St.

V-Montana is right. Regardless of expectations, the level of play is pitiful and painful for the players, coaches and fans. Each deserves better. My wife suggested it's the worst she's ever seen them play. I ran into 2 scouts pre game; love to read that report. It does not appear we have a half court offense and what happened to really running and pushing the ball? 55 points isn't going to get it. Finally, CKS refuses to admit that this team folds????????

I watched the game. I'm disappointed, too. But:

1) You wouldn't have these players to complain about if not for CKS.

2) I predict a strong SEC season and a solid showing in The Dance as well.

We're not saving the worst for last this season. We're getting it out of the way early.

I certainly pray you're right TackerDad.
