Vandy Lands First Public Commit of 2012 Recruiting Class

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution is reporting that Georgia DE Tre Griffen has publically commited to play for our beloved Vanderbilt Commodores. Griffen is alittle under-sized for a DE at 6'1 but weighs in at 235. Niether ESPN.com or Rivals has rated him yet.

Always nice to get the first commitment of the year in. I'm very interested to see what kind of class CJF puts together in his first full recruiting period. Man do we need some offensive lineman!

Really liked the young man's comments about why he decided on Vandy. It should be great to see what Franklin can do for his first full year class. He sure did great with only a few weeks last year.

And to think that 10 to 15% who responded to the poll on this site wanted S O V retained in football with no change in staff made. What were they thinking? Maybe they had watched too much american idol and it rotted their brain.
