Vanderbilt Beats UT 10-1 for 2nd Game in a Row

The Commodores pounded Tennessee last night 10-1 behind a dominating performance from Sonny Gray (8.0 IP, 1 ER, 4 hits, 4 BB, 6 SO), and did the same today behind a strong outing from Grayson Garvin (5.2 IP, 1 ER, 6 hits, 0 BB, 6 SO). Aaron Westlake continues to kill the ball, going yard twice today, and once this afternoon to give him 9 homers for the season. The Commodores will look to complete the sweep tomorrow at noon. Coach Corbin will send RHP Taylor Hill to the mound (3-0, 3.38 ERA) against a yet to be determined hurler.

There is some small solace in thrashing UT soundly for all of the late November Saturdays that I sat through lopsided losses in which UT pulverized my hapless Commodore football team. May the VU v UT rivalry be resurrected in all sports !
