Clay Travis Tracks the Commodores/Bears Championship Connection

Clay Travis's FanHouse.com story this week looks at the last Vanderbilt Quarterback to win an NFL Championship with the Chicago Bears, and how the torch might be passed to another Commodore Quarterback playing for the Monsters of the Midway, Jay Cutler. Clay's not always the friendliest scribe to Vanderbilt, but this is a great story and he is an entertaining writer (for those of you who haven't read Dixieland Delight, what are you waiting for?). The Chicago Commobears take on the Green Bay Packers tomorrow for the chance to represent the NFC in Super Bowl XLV (hopefully against mine and Douglas James' beloved, J-E-T-S); there is little doubt the Vanderbilt connection will be something explored by the national media in the 2 week run-up to the game. Lucky for the Commodores (and Coach James Franklin), National Signing Day is just 4 days before Super Bowl XLV.
