It's Over: Malzahn Staying at Auburn

Auburn has released a statement that indicates that Malzahn will stay at Auburn and receive a pay raise. The statement can be found via ESPN's Chris Low here.

I've got no other words that can be published. If you do, share them in the comments section.

LEACH! Anything else will be a major let down. I'm out if it's some B leaguer like Franklin, Treadwell, or Roman. Done.

Malzahn played us and we fell for it. He played VU to get a raise @ AU. I hope sCam blows up in his face!

I am not all that upset about this. I fear he just would have left us in a year or two when a better offer came along. I am on board with Franklin though.

Wait, you're okay with Franklin? What specifically in his resume gives you confidence he will do well at VU? Specifically!

Who cares at this point. Remember when Gene got of the plane in Auburn and they told him to go home? 2 years later hes in the national championship.

Gus sucks worse than american idol.

All this time, I thought nothing could ever suck worse then a.i.

What in the world was I thinking.

Gus is pure extract of suck.

Did you know that "Malzhan" is actually the greek word for "swallow." And I don't mean the bird.

I think the smart choice for Vanderbilt would be the OC at Oklahoma State, Dana Holgerson.
Holgorsen presided over the Oklahoma State offense that finished the regular season ranked No. 4 in total offense with 6,451 yards, No. 1 in yards per game with 537.6 yards and No. 2 in passing yards per game with 364.6. It was Holgorsen's first season in Stillwater after spending time at Texas Tech, where he learned under Mike Leach, and Houston.

Vice Admiral-Chancellor von Williams needs to stop playing athletic director and hire a real one. He got played like a cheap fiddle, and Vanderbilt's bid from he and his hired valet service was REJECTED by the GUS after the appropriate level of posturing. Somebody fire the inside connection--Herb Hand, Gus' former coachmate. What good did he do our negotiations? Let's name Williams head coach next season... It may give him some measure of credibility toward his false Athletic Director resume. I'm an attorney. That doesn't make me an athletic director or an expert on coaching supervision, hiring, contract negotiation, etc. Where does his come from? His former boss G.G. hasn't abolished the athletic department at Ohio State, has he? What a joke...I am tired of hearing his double-speak, non-committal comments when he chooses to make them. He is just a minor spin doctor playing with fire...a very, very, small fire (what is left of real support from the public, not the BOT or big $ alumni).
