Vandy Takes On Grambling Tonight

It's not often that I am COMPLETELY confident in any team I root for. Vandy, the Jets, Mets and Islanders all have blown what should be easy wins in my fan lifetime. But I am totally confident the Commies will put away Grambling tonight at 8 pm eastern standard time. The only question for me is what the score ends up being and who is the high scorer for Vandy. Post your predictions in the comments section and the person closest to the actual score will win my eternal respect and admiration (unless you ever disagree with me about something).

My guess: Vandy 91, Grambling 56

High Scorer: Jenkins comes close to dropping 30, I'm gonna say 29

Bonus prognostication: Backups should get big minutes tonight so I say Kyle Fuller drops 10 and Rod Odom gets to 15.

As a fellow Nyer I can loive with those numbers for Rod

The entire SWAC is an embarrassment and should be demoted to D-II. Either Vandy breaks 100 or Grambling doesn't break 50. I'll take the latter. 93-47.

on a totally unrelated note:

some typical Gee double talk on vandy's abolishment of the athletic department and Ohio State's mega-department with a little small school condenscension thrown in for good measure

A well balanced attack with JJ leading scorers with 23. 6 players in double figures. Vandy 87, Other Guys 51.

Halftime right now. 2d half scoreboard is going to have to be 51-18 in favor of Vandy for Douglas' prediction to come true. I wish he were right, but what is going on?

Well excuse me. 92-59. 2d half score = 52-21. Well-predicted, Douglas.

Still, first halves like this one are why Vanderbilt is not seeing a lot of love in the rankings.

Any status on JT, who left game w/ eye injury? Blurred vision was the stated reason. Hope it's nothing serious.

I don't think it's anything serious, but the game was out of hand in the second half so there was no reason to rush it.
