Nothing To Do On A Friday Night?

Don't worry! No, I'm not going to invite you to some rad party or introduce you to some awesome member of the opposite sex (wait we have single female readers correct?). Nope, instead I'm gonna tell you that Dai-Jon Parker is announcing his verbal commitment tonight and because we live in a marvelous technological age, you will be able to watch the announcement live on the world wide web.

So don't worry that you have no friends and are stuck at home on a Friday night as your life quickly passes you by. Because you will be one of the first Vandy fans to find out that Parker has committed (hopefully) to play for the Black and Gold and that my friends is a wonderful thing.

Parker is very good. I have seen him play on the AAU circuit and for Milton High....if Vandy got him he would really be a great pickup likely at the point guard at the college level; even though he played primarily 2 guard the last few years when I saw him. Good shooter, great leaper, and can finish at the rim. I read in the local paper that he had multiple offers (Duke and others) to play D1 football as well because he was a very good wr last season but he wanted to focus on just basketball. Let's see what he says later today. Go Dores !

He was a very good WR!? Someone convince him he can start 2 sports! Hell, give him a football scholarship instead and free up another one for basketball!

Vandy has offered him in football as well actually.

Cannot overstate what a huge pickup this would be for CKS. With K Johnson already signed, this pick up would not only be huge for the class but could also help in luring the kid out of Clarksville for next year's signing class. Let's hope we get him.
