Another RB Recruit......And This Guy Might Be a 4-star Guy With a Good Senior Year

Evidently Friday was verbal commitment bonanza with the Commies. According to Vandysports.com CRC and the Commie football staff got another verbal commitment from J.J. Keels and this kid looks like the real deal. Keels hails from Melbourne, Florida and is rated as the 55th rated RB by Rivals.com (3-star) and 35th by ESPN.com (3 star, 78 rating). The commitment of Keels is great news for Vandy fans and might get us our first 4-star Rivals recruit if he has a special senior year (Rajaan Bennett would have been the first but was tragically murdered shortly after signing day). Keels stands at 5'10 and 193 lbs and chose Vandy over offers from Memphis, Maryland, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Today is a great day for Vanderbilt football. Keels and Hester should be a great 1-2 combo and the amount of talent we could have at tailback next year could honestly be crazy. I just hope the rest of the offense (and coaching staff for that matter) is ready to rise to the challenge.
