Apologies for the Interruption

What with Douglas James' new job and Bobby, Seamus and I's graduation from law school, not to mention that Bobby's basement held a ton of water from the floods, we've been slightly detained from our traditional posting frenzy. That and it's been a somewhat slow news time on the Vanderbilt sports front.

Vanderbilt lost a heartbreaker on Friday night to #15 LSU in this weekend's series, but bounced back very nicely last night to tie it up. As of this posting, Vandy and LSU are tied 2-2 in the top of the 5th

The Women's Golf team advanced to the NCAA championships yesterday.

The Women's Lacrosse team almost captured the ALC Championship yesterday, but fell 23-14 to No. 2 Northwestern.

There hasn't been much news on transfers or anything. I think it's safe to say our roster for basketball is filled for 2010-2011. Spring football has also come to a close.

That's about it for Vandy sports at this time. Over the coming few days I'll have more time to post about my thoughts for next year's lineup and basketball roster, and we'll also talk some football. With the baseball regular season closing in a couple of weeks, we'll also discuss Vandy's chances to make it to Omaha.
