Every non-conference schedule has a couple of push-overs, and Mercer certainly fit that bill. That being said, we finally saw what Vandy is capable of doing on the floor. Tinsley and Jenkins had numerous catch, shoot and score points from beyond the arc. The offense was executed to near perfection. More importantly, the defense was stifling. Finally, the sharpness is there.

It is just Mercer, but I certainly liked the intensity and hope we see it again and often.

This was a great shooting game, but I was dismayed at the number of fouls and turnovers. I'd like to see some more concentration and the guys putting some value on the ball. Thats what we need to make the next step.

oshea, looks like Beal isn't the only player looking for his shot.

I don't really understand the last comment (especially since Beal took the second most shots of anyone on the team last night), so all I can do is reiterate that my criticism of Jermaine was not that he was shooting, but that he was shooting instead of passing and facilitating the offense like a point guard should.

15 points is great production, but I personally think the 6 assits mean more to the team over the long haul.

It was Mercer!!! Should they start keeping stats in practice, and then we can dissect how good we are based on those? No one on the floor was athletic enough to push any of our players last night, so the only relevant comment so far has been on our free throw shooting which is the only facet of last nights game which translates to any future games.

A few games back you made the statement that BEAL was looking for his shot too often (not your Exact words but sme meaning.I see with you that if he makes them it's ok.How would you facilitate an offense that has him in and out and with different players in and out with different abilities? Very difficult to do. I noticed that taylor and others would race down the floor with the ball without passing to Beal when on offense. Shooting is derived from shot so how can you not have meant anything else? Merry Christmas!
