Gillispie Out at UK...

No surprises here. The speculation is already running rampant, but I really don't see Billy Donovan leaving Florida for Lexington (see Stanimal's post). UPDATE: Billy Donovan has already denied interest in the job.

While I think it's possible Calipari would take the job, I'm putting my money where my mouth is in the form of a wager with Mama O'Shea for lunch at Artie's that Travis Ford will be the next Wildcat coach. ESPN's Andy Katz is reporting that currently Ford is a "safety" coach. Katz says that Calipari would be very interested.

Here are some initial thoughts from A Sea of Blue worth a read.

What do you think VSL Nation?

Here's another interesting question from Mrs. O'Shea: Where will Billy Gillispie end up? As a native Georgian, Bobby's Betty suggested the Bulldogs would be well advised to call the now out of work coach. Same thing could also be said for Alabama.

I really don't see the Bulldogs taking Billy Clyde. He's a pretty good coach but a PR headache and considering that program is only 5 years or so out of a massive PR nightmare that resulted in them hitting the toilet, I don't think it'll happen.

Georgia should have jumped on Anthony Grant when it had the chance. We'll see what move they make, but I doubt it will be someone big named.
