Bottom of the 5th:
Vanderbilt needs to be a little more patient as Fetters has fallen behind almost every batter he's faced. They've only got 1 run and get to start putting something together. Brad French gets an if single and we now have top of the order coming up. Developing...

Top of the 5th:
Joe Fisher is pumped! And he is right, as Joe just said, "if Vanderbilt wins this game, remember that inning." Both teams had a chance for a big inning and weren't able to capitalize.

CTC and I are on the same wave-length and Meingasner sends one into right. 1st and 2nd, 0 outs...I let Parker hit, and it appears CTC agrees. Fetters is having a tough time finding the plate. Hanks grounds into a FC, with runners at the corners and 1 out. Double play still effect with Shea coming to bat.
Developing...

Bottom of the 4th:

Bottom of the 1st:
Feinberh robbed of a hit by the right fielder. Dominic coming to back, he is 4 of 16 so far in the tournament. Dominic caught the 3B back and bunted a beauty up the line. Pedro steps in with a runner on. Pedro is also 4 of 16 in the tournament. He was the other guy Joe Fisher said put on a show during BP.
Developing...

Bottom of the 1st:
Michigan's pitcher took the loss against Vanderbilt when these two teams met last year in the NCAA tournament. This season, opponents are battling .308 aganist Fetters. Macias popped out on the infield with his first at-bat with Feinberg waiting for the 3-1.

Top of the 1st:
Roden strikes out Brad Roblin, who was unable to check his swing. He then gave up a single to Rechnagel. Joe Fisher said Putnam (the guy now batting) put on a show during BP. Didn't put on a show at his first at bat as he lifted the ball weakly to right.
0 runs, 1 hit, 0 errors, 1 LOB.
Michigan 0 - Vanderbilt coming to bat

Top of the 1st:
Battles back to work the count full with Brad French making a great play at first to knock the ball down and flip to Roden who was covering. Joe Fisher's excited (and so am I). Developing...

Top of the 1st:
Tyler Roden is out of the zone early, missing on his first 3 pitches...

It seems like #1 seeds are dropping like flies. Vanderbilt is looking to avoid the fate of other national seeds like Florida State, Arkansas, and San Diego. They'll have to beat Michigan for the second time in as many days. With Tyler Roden at the mound (see Seamus' prep-post below), Vanderbilt has a hurler with experience in elimination games, if not in any other games. We are about to get under way, I'm listening with Joe Fisher and hope you will follow on on VSL.
